What is AmpScan?

Welcome to AmpScan's Gitlab documentation, written for developers. AmpScan is a Python library and software package that enhances the work of prosthetists in designing prosthetic sockets by using modern mechanical analysis techniques. At the time of writing, much of the backend code is written in Matlab though is being transitioned to Python. The code base was initially developed by Joshua Steer on whose PhD work the project is based. It is now maintained by a group of Bioengineers based at the University of Southampton.
